Motivation for participation
I decided to enter the publishing industry in January 2022 because I believe that the strength of the book medium in the content market is firmly valid. In 2024, Clayhouse has achieved unprecedented export results, and I have grown proud of introducing Korean content to readers around the world.Now is a crucial time to showcase Korean publications with content that people around the world can relate to, and I believe that the efforts of the Korean publishing industry now will determine the position of Korean content in the global market in the future.
I believe that the strength of Korean books today is due to the combination of universality, acceptability in most cultures, and the appeal of various Korean contents (such as movies, dramas, entertainment, and music). Now, we need more inclusive contents in line with the global market. I would like to share my opinions with other people in the industry in different countries so that we can embrace individual and societal diversity and come up with stories that we can share together.
